The Corporate Governance Gala Award is an annual event organized by the institute and sponsored by various organizations. This event plays an important role in encouraging improvements in the quality of Corporate Governance, helping organizations to reflect on the changing attitudes and expectations among stakeholders, and assess their ESG attitude and their strategic approach to the post covid pandemic.
ICGK leadership understands that the best way to help corporate entities, government, and the economy at large is to recognize entities that adhere to, observe, practice, and demonstrate corporate governance best practices.
Interested organizations should fill out the “Expression of Interest (EOI) Form” on the website www.governance.ke and email to info@governance.ke. The form should be returned by 31st May of every year as the Gala Event happens during the 1st Week of December every year.

The Awards assessment process is undertaken by ICGK’s Gala Awards Committee. It is an independent, transparent, free, and fair process critical to the long-term success of ICGK, our Award partners, sponsors, and the corporate governance practice in Kenya. Organizations voluntarily apply to participate and to be assessed.
An independent ICGK CG Awards Assessment team will undertake an assessment of participating organizations using a governance excellence checklist and the scores released during the Awards ceremony. The information collected will be confidential during and after the assessment.
The Gala Awards Judges’ Committee is solely responsible for selecting winners. The ICGK CG Awards assessment will be concluded with a Corporate Governance Sector-wide report. The report will be a cornerstone for the “State of Corporate Governance in Kenya”. The judges’ decision is final.
Interested Organizations are invited to sponsor the ICGK Corporate Governance Awards 2023. All sponsoring organizations will receive unlimited publicity on all our communication platforms before, during, and after the Awards.
